Ambitious proposals to develop the Ebrington site in the Waterside area of Derry have the potential to create more than 2,500 jobs over the next 10 years, according to local urban regeneration company Ilex.
The proposals are contained in the phase two of the Draft Development Framework which have been made public by Ilex and gone on display at St Columb’s House in the Waterside.
If the scheme is to go ahead, it must acquire £50 million public sector funding, foreign investment and planning permission.
The scheme includes proposals in the creative, cultural and tourism industries with two hotels, restaurants and bars, as well as commercial developments.
