Prize money worth €6,000 is on offer for the Cara Bundoran 10 Challenge taking place on Saturday 1 March next.
Now in its fourth year, thanks to support sponsorship, there is over €6,000 in prize money to be given away including €750 prize fund for the first female and male in the 10 mile race.
Bonus prizes will also be on offer for new course records which currently stand at 50.18 mins for men and 57.34 minutes for women.
Run over a flat, fast, scenic course in the Donegal seaside resort, the race will have chip timing, mile markers, split times given at every mile and water stations.
The first 1,500 entrants will receive souvenir Technical Fabric T-shirts and goodie bags.
Entry fee is €25 fee before 24t February or €30 on the day.
All funds raised from the event will go to three designated charities – the Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice, Marie Keating Foundation and Neighbourhood Youth Project (NYP) in Bundoran.
There is no entry fee for a 5k run/walk taking place on Friday 28 February. A surf and cycle event will take place on Sunday 2 March.
Last year’s event attracted over 1,200 entrants and raised over €15,000 for the official designated charities – North West Hospice and St Vincent de Paul.
The Challenge also supported the local RNLI with a lifesaving defibrillator.
Many of the runners and walkers also had their own sponsorship cards for local and national charities.
