DERRY V TYRONE: MCIVER AND HARTE RING THE CHANGES FOR NFL CLASH

Derry senior football manager Brian McIver has made nine changes to the team that started the McKenna Cup semi-final defeat to Tyrone for tonight’s opening National Football League Division One clash against the O’Neill County at Celtic Park, throw in 7.00pm).

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has made eight changes to the side that defeated the Derry men in Healy Park two weeks ago.

The Derry team is: Thomas Mallon (An Lúb); Declan Brown (Baile Eachaidh), Chrissy McKaigue (Leacht Néill), Dermot McBride (Baile na Scrine); Aidan McAlynn (An Lúb), Mark Lynch (Beannchar) captain, Sean Leo McGoldrick (Eoghan Rua); Fergal Doherty (Baile Eachaidh) Patsy Bradley (Leacht Néill); Gerard O’Kane (Gleann an Iolair), James Kielt (Cill Ria), Enda Lynn (Grainlocha); Ciaran McFaul (Gleann), Emmett McGuckin (Machaire Fíolta), Benny Heron (Baile na Scrine).

Substitutes: Eoin McNicholl (Gleann an Iolair), Oisin Duffy (Forghleann), Karl McKaigue (Leacht Néill), Mark Craig (Dún Geimhin), Charlie Kielt (Cill Ria), Kevin Johnston (Dún Geimhin), Niall Holly (Eoghan Rua), Cailean O’Boyle (Leamhaigh), Declan Mullan (Eoghan Rua), Ciaran McGoldrick (Eoghan Rua), Aaron Kerrigan (Clóidigh).micky-harte

Tyrone boss Mickey Harte includes four National League debutants in his starting line-up with Omagh duo Barry Tierney and Conan Grugan, Ardboe’s Shay McGuigan and PJ Lavery, of Clonoe, all making their first NFL appearances for the Red Hands in the Division One curtain-raiser.

The side shows eight changes from the team which beat Derry a fortnight ago.

The Tyrone team is: N Morgan, A McCrory, C Clarke, B Tierney, C McGinley, P Harte, R McNabb, D McBride, C Grugan, N McKenna, S McGuigan, PJ Lavery, D McCurry, M Donnelly, P McNeice.
