Derry City’s Billy Kee Memorial annual match with Institute is in doubt after the Drumahoe side’s home Coca Cola Intermediate Cup fell foul of the weather this afternoon.
It is the second time Stute’s clash with Crumlin Star has been postponed – the tie was also called off last Saturday due to the Riverside being declared unplayable.
With more heavy rain predicted over the coming days, it casts a doubt over Paul Kee’s side’s clash with Roddy Collins’ new look Derry City – due to take place at the Riverside on Tuesday night next – in doubt.
If the game does not go ahead, it will be the fourth of Derry’s pre-arranged pre-season games to be postponed.
To date, away games at Newbuildings, Coleraine and Limavady United have been called off.
Meanwhile, Institute’s Coca Cola Intermediate Cup clash with Crumlin Star will now take place at Star’s ground The Cliff on Saturday next, kick off 2.00pm.
