The “Bloody Sunday March for Justice” will take place tomorrow afternoon to mark the 42nd anniversary the 1972 massacre.
The march will leave Central Drive in Creggan at 2.30pm and follow the route of the original parade to Free Derry Corner in the Bogside for a rally to be addressed by Stafford Scott who will give an insight into the events surrounding the controversial killing of Mark Duggan in London in 2011.
Mr Scott will also take part in the panel discussion “The Killing of Mark Duggan” taking place tonight in Pilots Row, Rossville Street at 7.30pm.
Mr Scott will give an insight into the events surrounding the controversial killing of Mark Duggan who was unarmed when he was shot by police officers in Tottenham, London in 2011.
He will also talk about the reaction to an inquest verdict of “lawful killing.
Meanwhile, events marking the 42nd anniversary of Bloody Sunday will come to a close tomorrow night with a social evening entitled “When the Lousy War is Over” in Sandino’s Cafe Bar.
Described as “an evening of commemoration and critical reflection” on the centenary of the First World War, it will feature poetry and song from Connor Kelly, Technopeasant, Abby Olievers and local singer-songwriter Paddy Nash.
