A cheque for £1,400 has been presented to Altnagelvin Hospital in memory of a popular man from the Tamnaherin area in the outskirts of Derry.cheque1

The money was raised at a fundraising dance held in Slaughtmanus GAA Hall, Tamnaherin, in memory of Brendan McGill who passed away in June last year.

Brendas wife, Bridget, and daughtger, Brenda Melaugh, are pictured presenting the cheque to Aisling McGarvey and Noeleen Reynolds, Staff Nurses on Ward 43 at Altnagelvin.

Bridget said she and the entire family circle raised the money as they wanted  to give something back to the Western Trust ward as a token of thanks for all the care and support they received during Brendan’s stay there.
