A juvenile has been arrested and charged in connection with anti-social behaviour in Derry city centre.
A PSNI spokesperson said the young person was detained following a number of incidents of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour in and around the Foyle Street area.
The spokesperson said: “Over the last few weeks police have been dealing with a number of incidents of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour in and around the Foyle Street area.
“City Centre Neighbourhood Team has been taking proactive steps to address this issue which has resulted in the arrest and charge of a juvenile in connection with the damage.”
The spokesperson added police would continue to clampdown on anti-social behaviour in the city centre for the benefit of both local people and visitors.
The spokesperson added: “The City Centre Team works very closely with local businesses and is keen to ensure that residents and visitors have a positive experience.”
The spokesperson concluded: “We will continue to focus our efforts to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the city centre areas.”
