Derry Sinn Fein members will make the long trip south this weekend for their party’s Ard Fheis taking place in Wexford.
Sinn Féin representatives and activists from across Ireland will address a wide range of issues including tackling drug and alcohol abuse, health, housing, the economy, international affairs and promoting the Irish language.
Delegates will also be addressed by a number of special guests.
Speaking ahead of the Ard Fheis, Derry Sinn Fein MLA said the event was an opportunity for party members to put their policies “out there.”
He added: “During the live session we will have an opportunity for party activists and spokespeople to state clearly what our policy positions on key issues.
“Over the weekend we expect more than 2000 delegates and visitors from across all 32 counties and abroad to be in attendance. We expect a good and constructive weekend of debate and discussion which will inform the development of our policies over the coming year.”
RTE One will screen a live session from 11.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday along with party leader’s speech at 8.30pm later that day.
A live screening by BBC Two Northern Ireland from 8.00pm on Saturday will also include Mr Adams’ address.
