A Stephen O’Flynn hat-trick earned Institute a hard-fought 3-2 victory in their Coca Cola Intermediate Cup tie against Crumlin Star in Larne this afternoon.

The win will see the Drumahoe side play North West neighbours Newbuildings United in the next round.
Former Derry City winger O’Flynn put Stute ahead and struck twice after Star came back from the early setback to take the lead.
Next week’s clash with Newbuildings presents Institute with the opportunity to avenge their North West Cup final defeat to their near neighbours, a clash they lost 3-5 on penalties after the game finished 2-2.
