The City of Derry Spartans ladies teams took the top honours at the Enniskillen XC, the penultimate race in the Athletics NI Cross Country League, held in the Necarne Estate in Irvinestown at the weekend.

The ladies team took first place in their 4.5k race ahead of runners-up Omagh Harriers and third-placed Springwell Running Club while the men took top honours in their 7.5k event, with North Down AC second and Clones AC third.
Foyle Valley AC captain Scott Rankin, the Athletics NI 5k (road) and NI and Ulster 5,000m silver medallist, took second place in 29.33, finishing behind Omagh Harriers Stephen Duncan who clocked 28.59.
