The man detained by Gardai in connection with the murder of Derry man Andrew Allen two years ago has been released without charge.
The man, in is 40s, was arrested by detectives in Donegal on Wednesday last and taken to Buncrana Garda Station for questioning.
His arrest came hours after Gardai said they knew the identity of those involved in the killing in which they said up to 12 people took part.
The man was the third person to be detained by Gardai involved in the investigation. The pervious two were also released without charge.
Mr Allen, a 24-year-old father of two from the Waterside area of Derry, was shot dead in a house at Links View, Lisfannon just outside Buncrana on 9 February, 2012.
The Derry-based vigilante group RAAD (Republican Action Against Drugs) claimed responsible for the killing.
Mr Allen’s family have continually denied he was a drug dealer.
