Stephen O’Flynn was on the scoresheet again for Institute as the Derry side eased past near neighbours Newbuildings United with a comfortable 4-0 victory at Drumahoe to book a spot in the last eight of the Coca Cola Intermediate Cup.
It was sweet revenge for Paul Kee’s side who earlier this season were beaten 3-5 by United a penalty shoot-out in the final of the North Weat Cup after the game had ended 2-2.
Two goals from O’Flynn, who scored a hat-trick in Stute’s 3-2 win over Crumlin star in the previous round, and a pair from Michael McCrudden ensured their was to be no repeat of that North West Cup Final reversal.
