A body has been recovered from the River Foyle this morning.
The discovery was made at around 9.00am in the water next to Sainsbury’s car park at Meadowbank and recovered by members of Foyle Search and Rescue.
The body has not yet been identified.
A search of the River Foyle has been ongoing for missing Galliagh teenager Andrew Quigley since some of his personal items were found on Foyle Bridge on the morning of 18 January last.
His uncle Dermot told Derry Daily the family had been informed a body had recovered.
