Two men were arrested by police following the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine in Derry.
The arrests followed a search by the PSNI’s Foyle City Centre Neighbourhood Watch of a property in the Bridge Street area on Friday last during which suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £2,000 was recovered.
The two men, who were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, have since been released pending further police enquiries.
A PSNI spokesperson said tackling the “scourge of drugs” remained a priority for police in the city.
The spokesperson added: “We will continue to act on information provided to us by the community. You can contact police on 0845 600 8000 or a member of your local Neighbourhood Team directly – details can be found on the PSNI website or through the PSNI app.”
