Ballymagroarty/Hazelbank Community Partnership’s library is to get a full-time librarian thanks to £29,470 funding from the Department of Social Development.
Announcing the funding for the library, located in the Surestart building, Sosical Development Nelson McCausland said the investment would allow the Partnership to extend the opening hours of the community library, giving local residents of all ages the opportunity to avail of “this valuable social and educational development service.”
Francine Moran, chairperson of the Ballymagroarty/Hazelbank Community Partnership said the funding would allow the residents, young and elderly, to enjoy the opportunities the library would bring.
She added: “The Library, which will be open during the daytime and evenings, is much needed and will meet the needs of all residents living in the area.”
