Derry City’s opening two games in the new Airtricity Premiership season have been switched to facilitate live television coverage.
The Candystripes’ first game of the new campaign against Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Friday, 7 March, has been put back to the following Sunday, 9 March, with a 5.25pm kick-off.
City’s first home game of the season against Cork City due to take place on Friday, 14 March, has also been put back two days, to Sunday, 16 March, with the kick-off at Brandywell 3.15pm.
Both games are to be screened live on RTE 2 Television.
Supporters attending the Cork game are advised Derry senior footballers entertain Dublin in a National Football League Division One game at Celtic Park on the same afternoon, throw-in 2.00pm.
