Derry City’s opening game in the new Ulster Senior League season, due to take place in Fanad this afternoon, has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Fanad United informed the Brandywell club last night their Traigh-a-Loch pitch was unplayable.
Meanwhile, a pitch inspection this morning will determine whether Derry’s under-19s promotion play-off game with Mervue United will be able to go ahead at Thornhill (kick-off 2.00pm).
