The Co Derry town of Dungiven is reeling following the loss of over 200 jobs at locally-based utilities maintenance company KPL.
The firm, which went into administration on Friday, carried out work for public utility companies such as Northern Ireland Electricity, British Telecom and Northern Ireland Water.
Administrators PwC announced the job losses yesterday after an “immediate review” concluded it was “not commercially viable” for the company to continue to trade.
PwC confirmed all the company’s 202 employees had been made redundant.
The company was founded by former managing director Kevin Lynch in 1994.
