Police in Derry have unveiled the cache of suspected drugs seized in the city yesterday evening.
Three men are being questioned by police following the discovery of suspected Class B drugs with an estimated street value of £150,000.
Two men, aged 68 and 50, were detained following a search of a property in the Waterside area of the city.
Another man, aged in his 20s, was also arrested in the Waterside area following further enquiries in relation to the seizure.
A PSNI spokesperson said all three were “helping police with their enquiries.”
Inspector Declan McGrath, of the PSNI’s Neighbourhood Watch team, said said the find was further proof that police were determined to remove illegal drugs from the city’s streets.
He said: “We know that drugs are an issue of concern to people in Derry and this seizure further reinforces our determination to remove controlled drugs from the streets of the City.
“The PSNI have been working with the local community to tackle drug dealers head on and we will continue to work in conjunction with partner agencies to bring to justice those involved in illegal drugs at all levels.
“Illegal drugs are dangerous and can have a devastating impact on individuals, families and our communities.”
Sgt McGrath concluded: “If you see or know anyone who is dealing drugs in your local area then contact your local police on 0845 600 8000 or alternatively you can contact the independent charity crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
