Derry City have come away with a 3-1 victory over North West neighbours Limavady at the Showgrounds tonight.
Very little will be gained from this pre-season friendly win as the City side was packed full of the Brandywell club’s under-19 squad.
Ryan Doherty put City ahead after 11 minutes.
The home side responded to a wonderful save by their keeper to keep them in the game with an equaliser before Tony McNamee finished off a neat move to restore Derry’s lead in the 34th minute.
Ronan Curtis pounced to make it 3-1 six minutes after the restart which was how the game finished.
