Stunning photographs of the Northern Lights taken by a Derry photographer have gone global – thanks to top Irish comic Dara O Briain.
The Lights returned last night bringing a beautiful mixture of colours.
And even more exciting is that the pictures have gone global thanks to a retweet from IO Briain.
He has more than 1.6 million followers on Twitter so needless to say the pictures have taken on a life of their own!
Derry photographer Gerard O’Kane took the incredible pictures last night.
Gerard, along with Justin MacLochlainn, run Donegal Photographic Tours.
Gerard said the photos were taken around 7.30pm and that the lights as the lights danced above the skies over the Inishowen Peninsula
