The Derry “LondonDerry” Doire has arrived in Hong Kong for repairs to a rigging fault.
The Derry entry wss one of three yachts to experience the failure which resulted in Race 9 to Qingdao in China of the round the world being suspended and the entire fleet being directed to Hong Hong.
The Derry Clipper arrived at at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club on Middle Island, Deep Water Bay, at 11.00am local time.
The repairs are expect to take about an hour per boat followed by tuning as required and refuelling.
The first boats are expected to head for the start line later today with the now expected to arrive in Qingdao between 10-12 March.
