A man in his 30s was seriously injured when he was attacked as he made his way home from a night out a the weekend.
The incident occurred in the Church Street area of Claudy around 2.00am on Sunday when the man was attacked by a number of men as he left a local bar.
He is being treated in hospital for a broken cheekbone, fractured ribs and other injuries.
