Derry have suffered a heavy defeat in their Allianz National Hurling League 2A clash with Carlow in Dr Cullen Park.

Trailing by nine points at half-time on a scoreline of 1-11  to 0-05 the Oak Leaf County never looked getting back into the game in the second period during which the home side add a further 1-09 to Derry’s 0-07 to run comfortable winners on a scoreline of 2-20 to 0-12.
