City of Derry Spartan Alan Bogle lived up to his pre-race favourite tag to win the Roe Valley Trail 8k run in Roe Valley Country Park in Limavady yesterday.
Bogle led from the start, gradually opening the gap between himself and the remainder of the field to cross the line in 27.31 to record a comfortable win.
The Derry athlete finished over two minutes ahead of North Belfast Harriers’ Simon Reeve who clocked 30.04 in taking second place.
Bruce Lovell (Vegan Runners UK) completed the top three in 30.15.
