Three Derry schools have been awarded funding from the Department of Education for refurbishment work.
A total of 51 school projects costing between £500,000 and £4 million each have been approved by Education Minister John O’Dowd
The School Enhancement Programme was established in January 2013 to enable the refurbishment or extension of school buildings costing £134 million in total.
Announcing the funding for St Columb’s College, Newbuildings Primary School and Broadbridge Primary School Mr O’Dowd said not only the schools, pupils, staff and parents would benefit, but the projects gave a much-needed boost to the construction industry.
