Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Limavady during the early hours of this morning.
The arrests followed an incident at around 1.20am when it was reported a man sustained stab wounds to his head and hands.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. His condition is described as stable.
A PSNI spokesperson said two men two men, aged 23 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and were helping police with their enquiries.
The spokesperson asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who had any information to contact them at Limavady on 0845 600 8000.
