The son of a woman born in Derry has contacted Derry Daily in the hope of tracing relatives here.
Sean Chilcott, from Swansea in Wales, is looking to find his relations on his mother’s side of the family.
His mother Gladys, nee Hill, was born in Derry in 1941 and moved to Britain when she was 13.
Sean takes up the story: “She tells me she had plenty of aunts and uncles so I am hoping to find a few cousins.
“Although she was Gladys Hill, her mum was Nichols or Nicholls and that is where I think I will be more likely to find any relations as the Hill name was her dad’s side who was born in Swansea and would have no Derry connections.”
Sean concluded: “I hope someone can help as it would be nice to hear from anyone.”
Anyone who can help Sean can get in contact with him through his Facebook page.
