A health and wellbeing information event being held today in the Ballymagroarty Community Centre in Derry has been commended by a local councillor.
Sinn Féin Cllr Eric McGinley said the “very informative” event, hosted by the Outer West Neighbourhood Health Improvement Project (NHIP), was aimed at providing practical advice and assistance to the local community in relation to healthy living choices and practices.
He added: “A number of organisations and groups provided information on a variety of issues including alcohol and drugs misuse and addiction, community safety, cancer awareness and therapy treatments.”
Cllr McGinley concluded: “I welcomed the opportunity to attend along with Martina Anderson MEP and to show our support for the community activists who were involved in organising a very positive event.”
