Artwork by a talented Derry school girl has been included in a prestigious exhibition – for the second year running.
AS work by St Mary’s College pupil Lauren Doherty was featured in the “True Colours” exhibition, staged by the CCEA (Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment).
Lauren, her parents, art teacher Miss Treacy and Year 11, 13 and 14 students attended the opening of the exhibition.
The inclusion of Lauren’s artwork at the exhibition, staged in the Ulster Museum in Belfast, has been described as a “remarkable achievement.”
The Ulster Museum, in partnership with CCEA, is hosting the True Colours. The Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA), in partnership with the Ulster Museum Belfast, are delighted to present the unique and exciting True Colours exhibition 2014.
“True Colours ” showcased artwork by some of the most talented young artists and designers from schools and colleges across the North.
Sixty-eight young artists were selected by CCEA to showcase their GCSE and GCE Art and Design work from the summer 2013 examination period.
