Pupils at a Derry primary school are today asking “Who? Where? What? When? and Why?” in a day-long series of events being held as part of National Science and Engineering Week.
Pupils, teachers and parents at Oakgrove Integrated Primary School in the Waterside are taking part in a full day and evening of fun and exploration with the the emphasis on “Learning by Doing.”
All are engaging in science, technology, engineering, and maths activities as well as workshops including Go Berserk, Coderdojo, Virtual Classroom UU, STEM Aware, FAB LAB, Loughs Agency, Sentinus Robotics, Lego Creations and Qubizm maths.
The evening events will take place from 6.00pm – 800pm tonight.
National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW) is a ten-day national programme of science, technology, engineering and maths events and activities across Britain aimed at people of all ages.
Anyone can organise an event or activity and the British Science Association helps organisers plan by providing free activity and support resources.
National Science and Engineering Week runs until 23 March next.
