Just over 24,000 people in Derry say are living with long-term health problems or disabilities that limits their day-to-day activities, newly released figures show.
Results of the 2011 Census released by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) show 22.39% of the 107,877 population in the Derry City Council district said they had health problems while 77.95% stated their general health was either good or very good.
Figures also show 11.34% stated they provided unpaid care to family, friend, engithbous or others.
Over half, 57.32%, of households were owner-occupied with 39.85% were rented while 24.13% of households were owned outright.
8.92% of households were comprised of a single person aged 65 or over, 14.08% were lone parent households with dependent children
The figures showed 21.84% had a degree or higher qualification while 44.32% had no or low level qualification.
