Police in Foyle are appealing for information after parked cars were targeted by thieves in the Waterside area of Derry.
Police received 12 reports of incidents at in the Prehen and Kilfinnen areas in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Items including money and a mobile phone were stolen.
Thieves also entered unlocked domestic garages and stole a quad and a motorbike from two of them. Both machines were recovered by police.
A police spokesperson advised members of the public to remove valuable items from parked cars and to lock garages and sheds.
The spokesperson also asked anyone with information about the thefts to contact the police non-emergency number, 101, or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
