The Derry public have been urged to avail of a free planning advice service available in the city of the next three months.
The Community Places drop-in service has been welcomed by SDLP Derry City Councillor Angela Dobbins who has urged anyone with any time of planning issue to avail of its expertise.
Cllr Dobbins said: “Planning issues – applications, objections or advice on renewable energy – can be daunting and prove to be very expensive.
“Community Places is an independent charity, which offers free advice to groups or individuals who cannot afford consultants, especially in this economic climate.”
She concluded: “I would urge anyone with any planning query, big or small, or even an enquiry regarding the requirement planning permission is required or not, to make use of this free service.”
Community Places will provide its drop-in service every first Wednesday of the month for next three months at Holywell Trust, Bishop Street from 1.00pm to 4.oopm.
