Police in Derry a hunting a gang which assaulted a man while out walking his dog in the Waterside area of the city.
The incident occurred in the Bowling Green car park area at Altngelvin between 9.00pm and 10.00pm on Saturday last.
Three men involved in the assault, then ran off towards Altnagelvin roundabout.
Two of the attackers were wearing dark clothing and the third a white hooded top.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information to telephone the non-emergency number, 101, and ask for the CID at Strand Road, quoting reference number 216 22/03/14.
Alternatively, callers who did not wish to disclose their details could call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
