Police are appealing for information after man sustained serious facial injuries when attacked with an iron bar in broad daylight.
Police have just released details of the incident which occurred at around 11.00am in the Hill Close area of Ballykelly on 20 March last.
The victim sustained fractures to his cheekbone and left arm.
The assailant has been described as being in his early 40s, 5′ 10” in height and well built with short dark hair.
He was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information about the incident to contacting the police 101 non-emergency number.
