Derry pop star Nadine Coyle has revealed she is living in fear of the earthquakes that are shaking California where she is living with fiancé Jason Bell.
The Girls Aloud star, who gave birth to her first child last month, is living in the American state and has taken to social media to reveal she was so afraid for her baby girl’s safety during the latest quake, she threw herself on top of her to protect her.
The magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Los Angeles on Friday night causing minor damage and minor injuries.
Broken glass, gas leaks, water main breaks and a rockslide were reported near the epicenter, according to local authorities.
Eyewitness photos and videos show bottles and packages strewn on store floors.
Aftershocks rumbled through southern California through the night resulting in about 2,000 homes being left without electricity.
Nadine took to Twitter to reveal she feared for her baby’s safety and had become so afraid she intended to buy a “survival kit.”
She tweeted: “I threw myself over her. She wasn’t too impressed.”
In another she said: “I love living in CA but these earthquakes scare me. My baby is only weeks old & has already been in 2. Buying full survival kits today.”
