A 20-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the Rosemount area of Derry last night.
A gang of three men are thought to have been involved in the incident in which the man was shot in one knee in Osborne Street at around 11.00pm.
They broke into a house and two of them ran upstairs where they shot the man in his right knee.
He was taken by ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Another man and a woman who were in the house at the time were held at gunpoint in a downstairs room by one of the gang.
Detectives at Strand Road are appealing for information about the incident..
