The new safety railings on Beechwood Avenue.
The erection of new safety railings at a dangerous bend on one of the busiest streets in Derry has been welcomed by Sinn Fein Councillor Colly Kelly.
Cllr Kelly said the construction of the railings at Beechwood Avenue would improve road safety in the area.
Cllr Kelly said: “I welcome that the work is taking place on the dangerous bend at the bottom of Beechwood Avenue which overlooks Westend Terrace.
“It is always a very busy road, particularly this section which is always dangerous.”
He concluded: “The introduction of these new barriers will improve safety for local residents, pedestrians, and motorists.”
