Institute’s hopes of winning the Belfast Telegraph Championship One took a setback this afternoon when they were held to a 0-0 draw by title contenders Knockbreda at Drumahoe.
The result means the Derry side drop to second place in the league behind Carrick Rangers who have leaped frogged Paul Kee’s side to go clear at the top by a single point following their 1-0 away at Ballyclare Comrades.
Instittute remain five points clear of Knockbreda and Bangor who thumped bottom club Coagh United 6-1.
However, Knockbreda and Bangor both have two games in hand over the Riverside club.
