A number of cars were damaged in an arson attack in the Bogside area of Derry in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called after a Volkswagen Passat was damaged after being set on fire in Westland Terrace at around 2.05am. Two other cars parked in the area were also damaged by fire.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.
A PSNI spokesperson said police enquiries were continuing and “at this stage” were treating the incident as arson.
The spokesperson said police were keen to speak to a male, believed to be in his 20s, who was seen heading towards the Laburnum Terrace area shortly after 2.05am.
