Police in Derry have renewed their appeal for information about a weekend attack in which a taxi driver was injured.
The incident at occurred around 1.50am on Sunday when the driver was assaulted by a man who had flagged him down in Linenhall Street in the city centre.
The driver sustained cuts and bruising in the attack.
The taxi was also damaged in the incident.
The suspect is described as being in his late 30’s of medium build with short dark hair.
He was wearing blue jeans with a dark blue short sleeve top with two white emblems on the chest.
It is believed he was accompanied by a woman in her late 30s who was wearing a pink dress.
A PSNI spokesperson said officers would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact them in Strand Road on the new non-emergency number 101.
