Police are currently in attendance at a security alert in the Culmore Road area of Derry.
Talbot Park has been sealed off and it is understood a number of residents have been moved from their homes following the report of the discovery of suspicious object.
A PSNI spokesperson said British army technical officers (bomb) squad have been tasked to the scene.
