The growing number of smokers trying to quit the habit has resulted in electronic cigarette firm KIX, which has three retail outlets in Derry, announce it is to create 75 new jobs by opening 20 outlets across the North.
The retailer, owned by Rossport Group, offers consumers a wide variety of products including electronic pipes, cigars, cigarettes and some more futuristic items.
The Rossport Group experienced significant growth in March of this year with the announcement of a €5.2 million ‘Rossport Pharmaceutical’ cleanroom production facility in Connemara, which is due to go into production in May.
The new positions announced today in Northern Ireland will be a mixture of in-store customer service advisors and head office roles in logistics, purchasing, accounts and administration.
There are currently 12 KIX stores across Northern Ireland.
The three in Derry are located at the Quayside, Richmond and Lisnagelvin shopping centres.
