The principal of a Derry primary school has appealed for the return of computer equipment stolen from the school.
Fifteen Apple iPads were taken from a classroom at Model Primary School on Northland Road at lunchtime of Friday.
It is believed the thief walked into a empty classroom and took tablets worth in the region of £4,500.
Principal Paul Sheridan said the theft had been reported to police and appealed for the computers to be returned.
Mr Sheridan said Apple had been contacted and had rendered the computers “useless.”
He added: “We just want our computers back. They cost £4,500 and that is money we simply don’t have.”
