Police in Derry are appealing for information about a burglary at a restaurant and attempted break-in at a nursery in the city overnight.
A PSNI spokesperson said in the two incidents, criminals got onto the roof of a restaurant and a nursery school at Northland Road using ladders and attacked skylights.
At the restaurant, part of a metal extending ladder was left behind in the premises.
It appears to have been dropped from the skylight without access being gained.
At the nursery, access was gained using a ladder but nothing was stolen.
The incidents took place overnight or the early hours this morning.
The spokesperson said the burglars needed to carry the ladder between the premises and police were keen to hear form anyone who noticed such unusual behaviour.
Information about either of the incidents can be given to the CID on the 101 non-emergency number, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
