A Limavady man was given a conditional discharge when he appeared at the town’s Magistrates Court today charged with claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
Albert Griffin (58), of Irish Green Street, claimed Disability Living Allowance (DLA) totalling £2,647 while failing to notify an improvement in his condition in relation to his disability.
He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
He will also have to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
