CAR DESTROYED IN OVERNIGHT ARSON ATTACK IN GALLIAGH

Police in Derry are appealing for information about an overnight arson attack which destroyed a car in the Galliagh area of the city.

FirefighterS were called to deal with the blaze which occurred in Knockalla Park at around 2.25am.

The blue Peugeot was destroyed in the fire which police believe was started maliciously.

A PSNI spokesperson said a motive had not yet been established.

The spokesperson added: “Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on the 101 non-emergency number. Alternatively, information can be given to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
