Karen Mongan: on the run.
Police are appealing to members of the public in their efforts to trace a 34-year-old woman who has gone on the run from prison.
Karen Mongan has been unlawfully at large from Hydebank Wood in Belfast since Thursday last, 17 April.
She failed to return to the prison after being on “resettlement leave.”
Mongan, who was serving a sentence for disorderly behaviour and assault on police, is described as having a pale complexion and heavy build with blue eyes and brown hair.
Distinguishing marks include tattoos – “Kate” on her left arm, “Annie” on her left wrist and five children’s names on her right arm.
Police are asking members of the public who see anyone matching the above description to call their nearest police station or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
