Vandals who damaged cars in Derry earlier this week have been condemned by local Councillor Mickey Cooper.
The Sinn Fein representative was speaking after three cars were damaged in the Academy Road area of the city in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Cllr Cooper said: “It absolutely ridiculous that this is happening to resident’s cars.
“In the current economic climate it is very hard to afford to keep a car on the road at the best of times and no one needs this extra expense and upset.
“Sadly this seems to be happening on a regular basis in various parts of the city.”
Cllr Cooper concluded: “It’s important that if anyone sees people acting suspiciously late at night in the area to contact the police straight away.”
